What Is a Guardian Home?
A Guardian Home is a loving family that adopts one of our outstanding golden retrievers to raise as their own beloved family pet — permanently. In exchange, we partner with the Guardian family during the dog's breeding years.
This arrangement benefits everyone: you get an exceptional, health-tested, Puppy Culture raised golden retriever at a significantly reduced cost, and we are able to maintain the genetic diversity and quality of our program without keeping a large kennel.
Our Guardian dogs live in homes, not kennels. They are family members first and foremost. We believe this is the best possible life for our dogs.
Guardian Home Requirements
- Must live within reasonable driving distance of Kansas City
- Must have a fully fenced yard or equivalent secure area
- Dog must live indoors as a full family member
- Must be committed to attending basic obedience training
- Must be willing to attend scheduled health screenings
- Must be able to accommodate breeding and whelping visits
- Family should be home a significant portion of each day
- Must agree to our Guardian Home contract
