Our Story

Where It All Began

We purchased our first golden retriever, Betsy, many years ago when our kids were in elementary school and ready for their first dog. We chose this breed because of its famous reputation for extraordinary temperament and love of children.

Our kids were all raised with a golden of their own. They were involved with 4-H, learning obedience with our first golden girls, Betsy and Maggie Mae.

Our Betsy was bred with Glen Earl of Stonehearth Kennels. Betsy and Earl gave us 8 beautiful healthy puppies. This began our adventures — now many years — as hobby breeders with golden retrievers as family pets.

Three Generations of Goldens

Betsy gave us 3 generations of wonderful goldens, and her sweet spirit remains in the hearts of our new lines. We are continuously studying the breed, learning new methods of puppy rearing, and seeking out the finest bloodlines available.

We are committed to preserving our breed through choosing outstanding dogs, ethical breeding, and intentional puppy rearing. We believe that golden retrievers are the best family dogs (and we are fine being biased about that).

Our Mission Today

We want to give our families the most balanced dog possible — the beauty of champion bloodlines and pedigrees paired with the temperament of an amazing therapy dog. Our pairs are chosen with this goal in mind.

We have a firm commitment to bring you the best of our breed in health, temperament, and conformation. We believe there is nothing quite like a well-bred dog that is a tribute to his or her breed.
